Cabramatta is hosting a moon festival to celebrate the new harvest. Let's ride out there and reap in the goodies.

Royal National Park - Wollongong

Stunning ride through the forests of the Royal National Park with the smell of the Eucalyptus trees, and birds singing. Very Disney like. Then out of the Park you're hit with a stunning view of the East Coast. Rest of the 30 kms is all coast line, up and over along the ridges. A lot of steep downhill runs, a few climbs but never for long.

Take sunscreen.
Take sunnies.
Take plenty of water as there aren't that many refill stations along the way.

Surburbs: Waterfall, Royal National Park, Stanwell tops, Otford, Clifton, Scarborough, Coledale, Autinmer, Thirroul, Fairy Meadow

Path:

On Road through the national park. One lane. Must share with the cars and motorcyclists.
Be careful through the National Park, there are lots of motorcyclists and sports car clubs riding through there too
Cycleway for the last 17 kms along the coast, flat not hils.

Hills: YES Several hills. The start is 4 kms of downhill. Rest of the National Park are rolling hills.
Sights & Treats:

Everything is stunning
The National park with it's huge eucalyptus trees
The coast line from the high ridges
The lighthouse at Wollongong
Swimming in the ocean
Para gliders

Water and Food:

No food or drink stations in the park. Just after Stanwell tops there's a car cafe and ice-cream stand. Last 25 kms from Wombarra there are shops and cafes.

Manly - Kuring-gai National Park

Time: We took about 3 hours to do this with several stops to take photos and get some snacks
Route: Manly, Freshwater, Dee Why, Collaroy Beach, Warriewood Beach, Mona Vale, Narrebeen, Church Point, Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park, Terry Hills, Allambie Heights
Path: Road with bike friendly lanes/sections. In the suburbs along the beach it's quiet but some roads are busy. The busy roads have "bike shoulder lane"
