Ride out to get some Ethiopian food. Think spongy tangy flat bread with loads of yummy curry fillings. So I've been told. Been salivating over this photo for a while.
Also going to check out the new section of the Parramatta cycleway . It's now possible to ride (off road) along the Parramatta river from Putney to Parramatta. Date: 15th July 2017 Time: 9:00 am Place 115 Lawson St, Redfern NSW Australia Facebook event link. Route: link Strava link Distance: 37 km one way Return: via train Start: Redfern Train Station End: Merrylands Train Station, 12:30pm for lunch Pit Stop: Majors Bay Road, Concord. Lunch: Aaboll cafe, Ethiopian cafe Duration: 3 hours (Pace about 13 km/h) Difficulty: Mostly flat, mostly back roads, some along shared path along Parramatta river, a bit of on road from Parramatta to Granville. Last week was the annual Parramasala festival in Parramatta (a spicy celebration of cultures) the SNR crew thought we'd do a #sydneyfoodride (SFR) and take the crew. The plan was to do an easy ride and get to Harris Park for an Indian Feast then hit the park for the Bollywood dancing.
11 of us, including 2 kids in a cargo e-bike, had a cruisey ride along the Cook's riverway, through the Rockwood cemetry into over Lidcombe to the M4 cycleway and landed in Harris Park just in time for lunch. The chefs at Chatkazz did not disappoint our hungry bodies after the 40 km ride. Food Recommendations:
